Marshall Live Stage

Marshall asked me to shoot a concert at the office featuring two acts, The Molotovs and Gallus.

The bands draw heavy influence from 60s and 70s rock music. I really like how concerts were shot back then by Glen E. Friedman and Melanie Nissen. Often with a simple setup, close to the stage. It matches how I usually shoot, so I used my 1982 consumer Nikon FE2, a few rolls of HP5 a simple on camera flash.

Home brew and making prints

I developed the film manually at home, scanned and made prints at the office on a pretty decent printer. Handling the process from capture to darkroom resulted in a quick set of honest, unpolished shots that captured the night in a way I like.

I'm grateful Marshall let me shoot this in my own way. Since then, I've shot tons of concerts on the Marshall Stage.
